Looking across towards the moors of the Peak District, this open plan cottage is spacious, light and airy. With exposed beams and stonework retaining much of the original character, together with modern conveniences such as underfloor heating, this cottage is truly a home from home.

From the cottage entrance you enter a large kitchen, which is fully equipped, includes dishwasher, microwave, oven/hob. A large dining table provides the perfect place to all dine together. Through the kitchen, there is a small utility with washing machine adjacent to a downstairs wet room with powerful shower.

A few steps leads down through to a large sitting room with the feature of an open staircase and galleried landing. The views from the four windows in this room are outstanding, it is the most perfect place to relax on the comfy armchairs and sofa. Complimentary wifi, an Ipod dock, flat screen televisions in the sitting room and bedrooms and selections of board games and magazines all add to this cottage's outstanding facilities.

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one double - king size bed and one twin - two single beds, all with luxury feather bedding and 100% cotton bed linen. Plenty of storage space is provided with oak wardrobes and chest of drawers'. The double bedroom has the added feature of opening out onto an external staircase, a feature of the original 17th century building.

Upstairs, there is also a large bathroom with shower over bath, with luxury toiletries and big white fluffy towels.

Parking for this cottage is parallel to this property. The cottage opens on to the parking area, the garden area is easily accessible to the back or the front of this property with plenty of seating areas to choose from as well as large meadow area.

There is a great selection of country pubs/ restaurants a short drive away. Information on these together with attractions and activities in the local area are all provided in the cottage.

If you're looking for an outdoor break, you've found the right place - in addition to endless walking and cycle trails there are lots of activities nearby which range from Horseriding to high ropes courses. And what a better way to end the day than come back to this delightful cottage to relax and reflect on another great day in Yorkshire.

We welcome well behaved dogs, there is a £30 charge per pet (maximum of 2 per cottage). Dogs are not allowed on any of the furniture or upstairs. They must not be let out unattended and need to be kept under control at all times whilst outdoors.

Prices in this cottage range from £580 to £895 for week breaks, £420 - £695 for weekend breaks (2 nights Friday to Sunday or 3 nights Friday to Monday) and £420 - £605 for midweek breaks (Monday to Friday).
