Well behaved dogs are very welcome here at Smallshaw Farm Cottages, but in order to continue to accept pets here we do ask that the following be adhered to during your stay. Details on how many dogs you are bringing must be supplied on booking form, we have recently been compelled to restrict this to a maximum of two dogs per cottage. The relevant cost must be paid, there is a £30 charge per pet.

Dogs must not be allowed upstairs or on any furniture in any property. Please do bring all appropriate bedding for your pet and protective covers should you think your dog may be tempted to try to get onto the furniture. In the unlikely event that there is an accident whilst in the cottage, please do let us know immediately so we may apply the appropriate action to remove the stain. After departure if we should find any damage as a result of the dog/ dogs having been in the cottage, this must be paid for as per our terms and conditions.

Whilst outside, please clean up after your pet at all times. They must be kept under strict control and whilst in our grounds be kept on a lead at all times. As we are located next to a working farm, dogs must not be let out unattended.

We do have a large garden area but it is not enclosed. There is a map provided in each of the cottages showing the public footpath directly from the cottages. It is not possible to walk through any of the other fields surrounding the cottages.

Walks are plentiful in the local area, pathfinder guides are provided as well as an Ordnance survey map. In our local information pack provided in the cottage, we have also supplied a list of pubs/ restaurants that are dog friendly in the area.

Dog bowls are provided in the cottage as well as details of local pet shops/ pet supplies.
